Sacramento Soccer Day

It’s Sacramento Soccer Day culminating tonight as the Sac Republic take on West Bromwich Albion at 7:30 p.m. at Bonney Field. Part of the evening’s festivities includes the Future All-Stars Game at 5:00 p.m. Coach Matt Scammacca and the following  Placer United Boys players were chosen to participate in the game:

• Zac Anderson – mid/def
• Ryley Kraft – mid
• Jaleel Baker – fwd
• Riley Holbrook – fwd
• Conner Hountalas – GK
• Justin LaPerle – mid/def
• Hunter Loomis – mid
• Jay Roundtree – GK

In addition, the Republic will recognize soccer achievement across the region including players from Placer United:

National Premier League Golden Boot honorees:

• U19G – Jessica Raybe and Alex Jenkins – tied with 11 goals each
• U17B – Kristian Heptner – tied for the award with 12 goals
• U16B – Riley Holbrook – tied for the award with 14 goals

Del Oro High School Girls Soccer Team, coached by Ron Benjamin and Rich Donofrio, which includes Placer United players Taylor Cirksena and Alyssa Leaman, will be recognized for their D2 Section Girls Championship.
