Getting Started

Welcome to Placer United!

We are looking forward to another great season and want to make sure no player misses a beat due to registration problems. Please make sure you follow all of the steps below to avoid any delays.  All players new and returning must complete registration before training begins for the 2025/2026 season.

All players must register. The process will take 15-30 minutes to complete per player.

Deadline to register is June 6, 2025 for ALL players starting at the beginning of the season.

Step 1:  Placer United Policies

Step 2:  Registration

Please click on the button below to see instructions for registration based on the team you were invited to be on after tryouts.

All ECNL and ECNL-RL Teams

AthleteOne and GotSport

AthleteOne is the registraion platform used by ECNL and the ECNL-RL league so primary registration for ECNL and ECNL-RL teams will use they system going forward.

Within a few days of your coach’s invitation to a team after tryouts, all players will be sent an email invitation from AthleteOne to the team where you will set up billing for the season and upload any necessary documents. If you do not receive the email for whatever reason, you can view the programs you are invited to on AthleteOne and register this way, follow these instructions. If you experience any issues, contact admin@placerunited.com.

If this is the first year your player is using the AthleteOne system (formerly known as Total Global Sports), you will need the following documents in order to register:

  1.  Player Photo.  One color headshot photo (no full body or action shots) of player (per U.S. Club – no hats, glasses, or itty bitty pictures).
  2. Proof of Birth.  A clear and legible copy of the player’s birth certificate or passport.
  3. U.S. Cub Form R002.  https://usclubsoccer.org/forms-documents/

Your AthleteOne account will be charged the $375 registration fee immediately after completion of your registration. You will have two billing options at checkout: 1) pay in full, or 2) make monthly payments of the registration fee immediately, then ten (10) payments of monthly dues from July 1 to April 1. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements, please email admin@placerunited.com. Your first month’s training fee will be charged on July 1, 2025 and will run through April 1, 2026.

In addition to registering on the AthleteOne platform and setting up a payment plan for monthly dues, the ECNL and ECNL-RL players will also need to register on GotSport. This is the registration platform NorCal uses to card their players and some tournaments require rosters in this system. No dues will be charged on GotSport this season for ECNL and ECNL-RL players. You will only be registering your player so we can order their player pass.

All Pre-ECNL I and Pre-ECNL II Teams

GotSport

All players, new and returning, will use the link below to register your player(s). You will find step-by-step instructions, but if you experience any issues, please contact admin@placerunited.com.

At checkout, select the “Pre-ECNL Teams” payment plan. Your GotSport account will be charged the $375 registration fee within a couple of days of when you complete your registration. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements, please email admin@placerunited.com. Your first month’s training fee will be charged on July 1, 2025 and will run through April 1, 2026.

If you are a NEW player, you will need the following documents in order to register:

  •  Player Photo.  One color headshot photo (no full body or action shots) of player (per U.S. Club – no hats, glasses, or itty bitty pictures).
  • Proof of Birth.  A clear and legible copy of the player’s birth certificate or passport.
  • U.S. Cub Form R002.  https://usclubsoccer.org/forms-documents/

In addition to registering on the GotSport plaform and setting up a payment plan for monthly dues, Pre-ECNL players will also need to register on AthleteOne. This is the registration platform the ECNL leagues use to card their players. No dues will be charged on AthleteOne this season for Pre-ECNL players. You will only be registering your player so we can order their player pass. Within a few days of the coach’s invitation after tryouts, you will be sent an email from AthleteOne to the team where you can upload any necessary documents. If you do not receive the email for whatever reason, you can view the programs you are invited to on AthleteOne and register this way,  follow these instructions.


All Gold, Black, White and Academy Teams

Got Sport

All players, new and returning, will use the link below to register your player(s). You will find step-by-step instructions, but if you experience any issues, please contact admin@placerunited.com.

At checkout, select the appropriate team payment plan. Your GotSport account will be charged the $375 registration fee within a couple of days of when you complete your registration. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements, please email admin@placerunited.com. Your first month’s training fee will be charged on July 1, 2025 and will run through April 1, 2026.

If you are a new player, you will need the following documents to finish the registration process:

  • Proof of Birth.  A clear and legible copy of the player’s birth certificate or passport.

Step 3:  Placer United TeamSnap for the Upcoming Season

If you are new to Placer United, you will shortly receive an invitation to log into TeamSnap. This is our internal communication hub and contains your team’s roster, training and game schedules, links to our Logo Gear store, and other useful information. Please update your information so your coach and the Club can quickly and efficiently communicate with you via phone, email, and text.

Step 4:  Uniforms – New & Returning Players

Uniform orders will go through Soccer Post using the Shopify platform. ALL players will receive an email invitation to our Placer United store on Shopify where you can find all of our uniform requirements for the season and additional items for purchase.  You will have the option to select for any items purchased to be shipped directly to you, or for pick up at Soccer Post in Fair Oaks. Prior to the order deadline, we will have sample sizes of the uniforms available at Tinker. If you would like to try uniform sizes on, you can ask your coach for access.

Our admin team will upload all rosters and uniform numbers into the Soccer Post system. Please address all uniform number questions to your coach.

Uniforms and training kits are on a two year cycle. The 2025/2026 season will be the first year of the current cycle. It is required that all players purchase a new home kit, away kit, and training kit.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY MAY 31, 2025, for expected delivery dates of mid-late July at the start of the season.

If you join a team mid-season, orders should be fulfilled within 1-2 weeks.

Step 5:  Mark Your Calendars

Club Fireworks Booth. Our fireworks booth fundraiser will kick off Friday, June 27th – Friday, July 4th.  Volunteer slots will be open soon, so sign up to get some of your volunteer hours taken care of and help the Club with out biggest fundraiser! Stop by for the best selection of fireworks and stock up for July 4th!

Club Appreciation BBQ. This season we will host the annual Club BBQ on Sunday, August 24th. Stay turned for more details.

Club Picture Days. For two days, Monday September 22 and Tuesday, September 23 we will photograph all players individually, as well as all teams and coaches. The schedule for your team’s turn will be distributed in plenty of time to schedule.

Placer United Casino Royale (casino night). The Placer United Casino Royale will be on March 20, 2026 at the Blue Goose Event Center in Loomis.

Step 6:  Business Partner Program

We are excited to annouce the Placer United Business Partner Program, designed to support local businesses and connect them with our vibrant Club community  of families and athletes.

Through this program, business owners can collaborate with Placer United to provide exclusive offers to our members while gaining visihility within our Club’s network. It’s a great opportunity to promote your business and support the development of our student athletes.

Step 7:  Social Media

Placer United’s Facebook and Instagram feeds are great ways for members and alumni to stay connected. Check often for updates on teams, player accomplishments, alumni updates, and Club news. Send photos to your team manager throughout the season for the Club to share on our social media pages.

Step 8:  Placer United Logo Gear

Get ready to show your Club spirit and pick up your Placer United swag! Our logo gear store is open several times a year to meet your shopping needs.  Communication on open windows for ordering will be sent through Team Snap and on social media with deadlines to order.
