“From the first time I set foot on the Chapman campus, I knew this is where I wanted my future to be. I feel so proud and honored to have been accepted and even more, to be committed as a future Panther. I feel blessed to have spent the last 7 years as part of the Placer United family. I feel certain I would not have the opportunity to play college soccer at my dream school were it not for the programs, coaching and development I have received here. Many of my teammates today have been with me since the beginning and have supported and motivated me to pursue my dreams. I also want to acknowledge my coaches John Chimienti, Bart Morefield, Todd DeCarlo and Ron Benjamin for assisting me on this journey and making me the player I am today. A big shout out to Sarah Barton who took the time at many various tournaments to come and watch me play. And finally, a heartfelt thank you to my family who have instilled in me that true character is the most important thing, whether it be on or off the pitch.
I’m so excited to continue to play the sport I love as part of the Chapman community for the next 4 years!” — Lindsay Erl
