Eric Bryant

Eric has been playing soccer for Placer United for 4 seasons and is currently playing on the CDA U18 team. I choose San Diego State because of the location of the school and the high quality of soccer. When asked what are you most looking forward to, Eric said “I am looking forward to playing at the next level in the Pac 10. Melanie Bertrand Commits to University of Nevada, Reno

I’m really excited to be getting the opportunity to play and attend the University of Nevada Reno . One of the reasons I decided to commit there is because of their soccer program since it is very competitive and will help me grow as a player. I also really liked the campus and its location. The campus is by the mountains and is really beautiful, it’s also right next to downtown Reno . My parents will still be able to watch me play too, but I will still be far enough away to get the full college experience. I can’t be more thankful for this opportunity and I wish I didn’t have a whole other year of high school left!

“I chose Vermont because it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. It is something new and something different, and that’s what I wanted. It is a beautiful place to go to school, and start my life. I am looking forward to playing soccer at the college level, and competing with the top players. Also, to being independent, I’m ready to grow up and start my own life. My biggest goal in college soccer is to be one of the top players in the nation, to make the All-Conference team, and to be developed to play at the next level. I’ve had 2 coaches during my soccer career that I’d like to thank, and they are: Nathan Williams and Paul O’Brien. With their knowledge and time, they have shaped me into the player I am now. Almost everything I know and have done is from them. So I’d like to thank them for developing me as a player, and as a young man. Thank you.”

Savannah Coiner Commits to Clemson University

Savannah Coiner, a 2011 graduate, of the U17 Placer ’93 Gold Team has given her verbal commitment to Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. The Tigers are Division I and compete in the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference), one of the toughest conferences in the country. Savannah chose Clemson for its small school atmosphere, location and good balance between academics and athletics. She is looking forward to experiencing the Southern college sports spirit and tradition.

Clemson offers a wide range of majors that fit into Savannahs intended area of study. She is looking either at a Nutrition major, physical therapy or rehabilitation sciences. The great academics, in addition to being able to play against the best teams in the country, is what made Savannah choose this school over the many other offers she received. “I’m excited for the opportunity to play against North Carolina and some of the other top teams in the country”

Having been with the club since U10, there’s a long list of people that Savannah needs to thank. Most recently, all the help she has gotten from Ron Benjamin. “Ron has helped me so much both on the field playing and off the field with the recruiting process, which would have been quite overwhelming without his help.” Thanks to the entire club and all the support I have received.
