July 30, 2008—The Placer United 1993 Girls Gold team made Club history by becoming the first team to be crowned National Champions. The girls are coached by soccer legend, Ron Benjamin, and started out on their road to success in the 2008 National Cup VII competition by first winning the Region H U15 Super Group competition which then qualified them for the US Club Nationals in Virginia Beach.
