The tryout schedule will not be posted until the week before tryouts because the locations and times can change for a variety of reasons.
We are very excited about the upcoming season coming off Club successes on the field, a high collegiate placement of our graduating seniors, and the enjoyment of watching some of our alumni play professional soccer on MLS and USL Pro teams.

For the upcoming 2024/2025 season, Placer United teams will compete in NorCal Premier League, NPL Champions League, Boys and Girls ECNL League, NorCal State Cup, Surf Cup, Las Vegas Showcase, and many other soccer events which over the years have brought the Club recognition locally, regionally, and nationally.
For the 2024/2025 Season
- All Placer United players can participate (if selected), in outside programs such as ID2, PDP, ODP, and College ID Camps. In recent years our players have been selected and traveled to various international events with some of these programs.
- All high school freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors can tryout for their high school soccer programs and look to emulate Seth Casiple (2010) and Corban Anderson (2014) who received Gatorade California High School Player of the Year awards.
Placing student-athletes into collegiate soccer programs is an important part of our club. Every year we place an average of twenty-five players into various college programs.
Former players drafted from college to professional teams:
- Grant Silvestre (Virginia) and Ty Thompson (Stanford) have won NCAA Div 1 titles.
- Ryan Hollingshead (UCLA/FC Dallas/Los Angeles FC)
- Connor Halissey (Cal Berkeley/Sporting Kansas City)
- Seth Casiple (Cal Berkeley/Portland Timbers, Reno 1868 FC)
- Tucker Bone (US Air Force/Seattle Sounders/Sac Republic FC)
- Madalyn Schiffel (USF/Seattle Reign)
- Benji Kikanovic (San Jose Earthquakes)

Preparing for Tryouts
During this time, it’s important to stay engaged with the soccer ball. Remember becoming a better soccer player does not happen overnight which is why we encourage everyone to continue to Practice! Practice! Practice!

A couple of hints every player can use during tryouts:
· Remember your soccer ball!
· Be on time, shin guards on and cleats tied
· Bring a water bottle for hydration
· Hustle! Everyone can engage and play hard
· Be attentive! Listen to instructions from the coaches. Make corrections quickly.
